WWE has announced that this past Saturday’s SummerSlam 2023 pay-per-view event, which took place at Ford Field in Detroit, became the most-watched and highest-grossing SummerSlam in company history. The premium live event set new records for viewership, gate, sponsorship and merchandise.
With an announced attendance of 59,194, SummerSlam produced a record gate of $8.5 million, the largest gate for any non-WrestleMania event ever. It was also the most-watched SummerSlam in history.

Merchandise sales were also up 60 percent compared to 2021.
