Randy Orton Has Started To Prepare For WWE Return, Still Not Medically Cleared
– ADVERTISMENT –

Randy Orton has not been on WWE television since last May when the Usos defeated RK-Bro in a unification title match on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where he was attacked by The Bloodline to be written off television following the match.

Orton had fusion back surgery last November that would keep him out of action for an extended period of time.

Fightful Select is reporting that sources within WWE creative said that as of this past week, Orton had not been factored into WWE creative plans whatsoever.

The report stated, “We’ve heard that he’s not yet cleared for in-ring training or action, and those we’ve spoken to say that there hasn’t been an extensive conversation about what the plans will be for Orton. As of now, before in-ring training resumes, Orton is planning to make a return to the ring.”

Orton has resumed lifting and is said to be “huge” as he continues to work out but not take bumps in the ring.

Regarding a potential SummerSlam appearance, one source said not to count on it, and if he is planning an imminent return, it’s being kept quiet.
