Booker T Says Ilja Dragunov Is One Big Win Away From Becoming ‘The Guy’

During a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T shared his excitement about the upcoming match between Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes, stating that Dragunov is just one significant victory away from becoming a top-tier superstar. Commending his incredible work ethic, Booker said,

“You know, I’m really excited about that one because I’ve been saying, Dragunov is like one big win away from being the guy. I’m gonna tell you right now, don’t nobody work harder than Ilja ‘The Mad Dragon’ Dragunov. That dude is a hard worker. He’s a hell of a talent. I see him moving to the next level relatively quickly. Dragunov is a special talent.”

Dragunov will challenge Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship at WWE NXT Great American Bash pay-per-view event, scheduled for Sunday, July 30, 2023 and set to emanate from the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas.
