Scotty 2 Hotty Had Producer Tryout At Latest AEW Dynamite

Former WWE Superstar Scotty 2 Hotty could become a regular presence at AEW events following a tryout at this week’s Dynamite.

PW Insider reports that Scotty 2 Hotty (real-name Scott Garland) was backstage at last night’s AEW Dynamite taping in Albany, NY as a Coach/Producer.

It was stated that the former WWE Tag Team Champion was “brought in by the promotion for what we were told is a tryout in the position.”

Garland is expected to be at the next several weeks of Dynamite.

In September 2016, Garland returned to WWE as a trainer at the Performance Center.

The Too Cool alum taught the middle class at the WWE Performance Center, the second of four levels of classes.

Garland would remain with WWE in the role until November 2021, when he requested his release from the company.

The former Superstar later explained that he felt that the role wasn’t for him given changes made to NXT, including the removal of Triple H as head of the gold brand.
