The Latest On Carlito’s Return To WWE

WWE brought in Carlito for the Backlash 2023 PLE, where he joined the LWO and Savio Vega in the evening the odds against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio, who had interfered in the street fight between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest.

Following the show, there was speculation that WWE may try to bring him back full-time. 

Pwinsider first reported that WWE had targeted last week for Carlito’s return to the company. 

However, he wasn’t backstage for last Friday’s SmackDown at MSG. He traveled to the Northeast for the company that weekend. 

The report noted, “A longtime PWInsider Elite subscriber relayed today that they saw Carlito waiting for a flght from Pittsburgh on Sunday.  WWE’s medical program is headquartered in the Steel City.”

One source in WWE noted Carlito’s return on last week’s Smackdown “would have been lost in the wake of the Bloodline,” so they pushed it back.
