Report – CM Punk Pitched To Work Upcoming AEW Blood & Guts Match

According to a report from Voices of Wrestling, CM Punk made a pitch to be involved in the upcoming Blood & Guts match. The match will feature the Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli), Konosuke Takeshita and a mystery partner vs. Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, The Young Bucks and a mystery partner.

According to the report, Punk pitched himself to be the fifth member of the Blackpool Combat Club’s team. Of course, CM Punk has been open about his issues with Jon Moxley in the past. Despite this, Moxley was said to have been open to the idea.

The report goes on to state that one source said “neither team would want him.” It’s worth noting that while CM Punk has been trying to mend fences, the other side (The Elite) continues to want nothing to do with it.

Finally, it is said that while CM Punk made the pitch, he was told the fifth members on each side have already been decided upon and he won’t be involved.
