Two Title Changes Happened At NJPW Strong Independence Day

A few title changes happened today at the NJPW Strong Independence Day event in Japan, airing on NJPW World.

Giulia became the new NJPW Strong Women’s Champion by defeating Willow Nightingale when she hit a Northern Lights Bomb to score the pinfall.

Willow was the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, defeating Momo Kohgo and Mercedes Martinez in a one-night tournament at NJPW Strong Resurgence.

Eddie Kingston beat KENTA to win the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship at this same show.

This ended KENTA’s reign of 44 days after beating Hikuleo for it at Resurgence.
