Update On The WWE Money In The Bank 2023 Main Event
– ADVERTISMENT –

WWE Money in the Bank 2023 takes place today at the O2 Arena in London, England.

As we previously reported here on eWn, Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio will be the main event of the show. This has caused speculation about a potential Brock Lesnar appearance after the bout to set up his third match with Rhodes as the company has plans to do Rhodes vs. Lesnar III at SummerSlam in August.

Fightful Select is reporting that the main event was decided after SmackDown.

“Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio was announced as a main event of the show, which had fans asking what the status of that match is. When we asked WWE in an official capacity Friday morning, we weren’t given an answer. However others within WWE confirmed that there was some advertising that had went around promoting a “triple main event,” and was something they might do more of going forward after leaning out of it for a number of years. Another WWE source said “any more heat on Dominik Mysterio is a good thing” and felt like the line did that,” the report noted.

At one point, there was talk that the Men’s Money in the Bank match would open the show, while The Bloodline Civil War would close the pay-per-view event.
