AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II: Early Estimate On PPV Buys

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) held their second supercard pay-per-view event, Forbidden Door, on Sunday night in Toronto, Canada. The main event featured Bryan Danielson emerging victorious against Kazuchika Okada.

TV pay-per-view numbers for the event have shown a 12% increase compared to previous AEW pay-per-views this year, AEW Revolution & AEW Double or Nothing, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio. Additionally, the inclusion of buys from Japan on NJPW World is expected to contribute 5,000 to 10,000 purchases.

Projections indicate that the event is likely to achieve 150,000 to 155,000 buys, making it the most successful AEW pay-per-view event since last year’s Double or Nothing.
