Matt Cardona Calls Out Edge; Vows To Send Him To Hell
Matt Cardona, alongside Steph De Lander, recently appeared on the “Notsam Wrestling” podcast to discuss various topics.
During the podcast, the idea of Cardona wrestling Edge was brought up, considering their history together, and Cardona expressed that wrestling Edge has always been a dream match for him, and even though he thought it would never happen after Edge’s retirement, there is still a possibility.
Cardona emphasized that it would be Edge vs. Matt Cardona, not Edge vs. Zack Ryder, as he sees his previous persona as “Zack Ryder” as being in the past. He said,
“That was always a dream match of mine, still is. And when he had to retire, I thought it would never happen. Now he’s back, then I get fired. But there’s still time. Edge vs. Matt Cardona, not Edge vs. Zack Ryder. Zack Ryder’s f***ing dead.”
Cardona also acknowledged that Edge had given him an early opportunity in his career, and he is now doing the same for De Lander, before joking that he would shut the door in Edge’s face and “reboot” him right to hell, if he’d get to face him.
“I open the door for [De Lander] just like Edge opened the door for me. Now I’m gonna shut it in his f***ing face and reboot [him] right to hell. I would absolutely love that.”
