On the latest episode of his “83 Weeks” podcast, Eric Bischoff shared his critical opinion of ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry’s performance against IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II on Sunday.

Bischoff expressed his disappointment, stating that he found Jungle Boy’s work to be unconvincing and lacking believability. He said,

“I was less than impressed. I don’t get it. I don’t want to be critical. Jungle Boy’s work — and I tweeted it out last night, he couldn’t crack an egg with a hammer. He just didn’t look believable to me, so much so that it actually — I don’t want to say it made me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan, but he was out of place. He should not have been on that show. I can’t put my finger on it.”

Bischoff even went as far as to say that Jungle Boy seemed disinterested and out of place on the show. He added,

“He looked not interested, is the way I felt about it. I don’t know how else to describe it. The forearms and some of the things that he was laying in there looked like he was trying not to make contact.”

Bischoff added that he hopes that it was just an off night for Jack Perry and that his performance does not reflect his overall abilities.

“I hope it was just an off night, because if that’s an example of some of his best work and him getting up for a major show in front of a huge audience, I don’t know man. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Following the match, Jungle Boy turned on his corner man HOOK, turning heel for the first time in his career.
