AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II takes place tomorrow at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
As we previously reported here on eWn, AEW will be having a meet-and-greet session with top NJPW talents later today at the Scotiabank Arena. The announced stars include Hiroshi Tanahashi, Sanada, Minoru Suzuki, and Tomohiro Ishii.
However, an updated meet-and-greet listing appeared on social media featuring the name of NJPW star Tetsuya Naito instead of Tanahashi.
Although AEW has not announced Naito for Forbidden Door 2023, it is to be noted that Sting and Darby Allin will be announcing their mystery tag team partner for their trios match against Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Minoru Suzuki tonight on AEW Collision, and it’s possible that Naito fills the vacant spot.
Speaking of Tanahashi, the NJPW veteran will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship tomorrow at Forbidden Door 2023.
The AEW Live merch website now has Tetsuya Naito listed replacing Hiroshi Tanahashi for a meet and greet at Collision tonight. 👀 pic.twitter.com/43rBPP33f9
