Backstage Note On WWE’s New Strategy Behind Pay-Per-View Announcements
– ADVERTISMENT –

In recent times, WWE has been announcing their pay-per-view events closer to the shows than usual, and a new report from Fightful Select reports explains the reason behind the move.

WWE has begun announcing the dates and locations for their PPVs much later than they have in past years in order to maximize the hype and buzz around the shows.

WWE is reportedly trying to be strategic and calculative around their events, considering economics, storylines, audience growth, and other key factors when deciding dates and venues. Announcing the shows individually rather than in batches allows WWE to let each show become its own moment.

2023 has seen each WWE pay-per-view event announced individually, whereas in 2022 all events and locations were announced early on.

People in WWE are extremely pleased with the new strategy for pay-per-views considering how well things have played out for the company this year.
