Ted DiBiase Sr. shared the ring with countless opponents during his wrestling career, but Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts tops his list of all-time favorite adversaries.
The relationship between the two men goes back to the mid-70s in the Mid-South Wrestling Association, where Roberts was working as a referee and Ted was competing.
Speaking on an episode of Roberts’ “Snake Pit” podcast, DiBiase named the Snakeman as his favorite opponent. He said,
“It’s a hard question to answer because there are several. But I have said if I had to pick one … it would probably be Jake, because we did the dance together so well.
“[W]e had great chemistry from the get-go, and I believe that’s because we both came from the same school, if you will, of wrestling psychology, you know, the old school way.”
The most high-profile match between the two came at WrestleMania VI for the Million Dollar Championship, and DiBiase called the show his favorite WrestleMania of all time.
This week, DiBiase also commented on the charges of fraud against his son Ted DiBiase Jr. You can check out those comments here.
