RUSH Parts Ways With AAA, Tonight’s AAW Show Canceled After Irving Hall Shuts Down
– ADVERTISMENT –

AEW wrestler RUSH has announced that he and his father, Bestia del Ring, have officially parted ways with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and are now “totally independent.”

RUSH and LA Park were supposed to team up at TripleMania in Tijuana against Sam Adonis and Psycho Clown next month. The wrestlers of the losing team would then face each other at the Mexico City TripleMania event in a Mask vs. Hair match.

Luchablog is reporting that although the main event of El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Kenny Omega is the real deal, the RUSH match (and the possibility of RUSH vs. Park) is the major draw in Mexico.

This doesn’t mean RUSH will be able to compete at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II. AAA talents are usually barred from working those kinds of events due to an understanding NJPW has with CMLL.

RUSH signed with AEW in September 2022.

AAW announced earlier today that tonight’s event has been canceled after the city of Chicago shut down its host venue, Irving Hall. The official announcement reads:

Irving Hall was shut down by the city last night. We tried to pull something together but on super short notice, we couldn’t make it happen. We are forced to cancel tonight’s event. We will begin the refund process as soon as possible.
