That’s how we do it, man. You want to come to my show? You want to catch me off-guard on my show? I’ll come to your show and I’ll catch you off-guard. Listen, you come on Tuesday, you see me on Tuesday. I’m 100% now. Let’s get it.

In a recent appearance on the The Ten Count podcast, Dark Side Of The Ring composer Andrew Gordon MacPherson lavished praise on former WWE composer Jim Johnston.

For over 30 years, Johnston composed and recorded entrance theme music for WWE, and writing and recording mostly by himself, the 70-year-old composer has penned over 10,000 pieces of music.

On November 30, 2017, WWE released Johnston following a 32-year partnership.

MacPherson said, I got to hand it to Jim Johnston because it’s also one of the first places where I saw the power of music and the power of a character having a theme song. The power of the theme song erupting before you — even before the character’s even on camera — and what that signals to you when you are familiar with that theme and how that excitement can well up before you had even seen Bret “The Hitman” Hart come down the aisle … So it’s been really fun, kind of, because other than Jim Johnston, I don’t know how many people have made as much wrestling-related music as I have at this point.”
