We have a new WWE Women’s Championship belt.
On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Adam Pearce presented Asuka with what was described as the “WWE Women’s Championship” belt. There was no official tagline for RAW or SmackDown listed. Of course, Rhea Ripley currently holds the SmackDown Women’s Championship. There is no word on whether Rhea Ripley will also be getting a new title with a different name.
As Adam Pearce was putting the title around Asuka’s waist, Charlotte Flair’s music hit and she made her way to the ring.
After being told by Pearce to “get in line,” Charlotte responded by saying that she “made the line” and doesn’t have to wait. Asuka wound up accepting Flair’s challenge and then tried to hit Charlotte with her mist, but the latter ducked and attacked the champion.
