With the upcoming premiere of AEW Collision, the return of CM Punk, Forbidden Door II and the Canadian tour approaching, All Elite Wrestling finally seems to be getting some much-needed steam heading into the summer.
And these events over the course of June and July will be followed by AEW All In 2023 at Wembley Stadium in London, England, perhaps AEW’s biggest success amidst recently rising woes.
In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, AEW President & CEO Tony Khan expressed,
“It’s the most anticipated event in the history of AEW. There is so much excitement to see what this packed stadium of AEW fans is going to look like, and it will be a very important weekend in the history of AEW when we come to London in August.”
Also in the same interview, Khan made a bold claim about AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II. He said,
“This year’s Forbidden Door will be the best event either company has ever participated in.”
On Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that the main event of AEW Collison’s premiere episode will feature Juice Robinson, Jay White & ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe facing off against AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR & the returning CM Punk.
