Jade Cargill’s undefeated streak was broken on Sunday night when the returning Kris Statlander dethroned The Baddies leader to become the new AEW TBS Champion at Double Or Nothing 2023 in Las Vegas, NV.
Fightful Select is reporting that Cargill is expected to take time off after dropping the title at AEW Double Or Nothing 2023. It is to be noted that the title change with Statlander had been planned at least weeks in advance.
Statlander had been on the road with AEW as she recovered from injury and trained in the ring ahead of a recent episode of AEW Dynamite.
Pwinsider is reporting that there were no major injuries from the violent Anarchy in the Arena match at Double Or Nothing 2023, except for minor cuts, bumps, and bruises.
Jamie Hayter received huge praise for pushing through her back problems to lose the AEW Women’s World Championship to Toni Storm at the pay-per-view event.
Several fans caused problems at Double Or Nothing 2023, with security removing unruly attendees from the T-Mobile Arena. The live crowd was late getting inside, and the arena wasn’t full until the Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayter title match.
AEW t-shirts retailed for $50 a piece last night.
