All Elite Wrestling announced today that it will launch the new AEW Collision program on June 17. The two-hour program will air on TNT.
While there were rumors that a new media rights deal between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery would also be announced, that didn’t happen.
Pwinsider is reporting that there was never any plan to announce a new AEW-WBD deal today. In fact, there’s no confirmation that a deal has even been made at this point. As such, no announcement regarding a TV deal is expected to be made today.
The report further suggests that the topic is similar to the news story about Saudi Arabia buying WWE, in that it began as a rumor and exploded from there, but was never actually true.
