Jim Ross has given an update on Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler and has said that his longtime broadcast partner is not ‘out of the woods’ after suffering a stroke in February.
During the latest episode of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross spoke about the current condition of his fellow WWE Hall of Famer. He said,
“I talked to Lawler just the other day. He’s still struggling with his health. He’s got good doctors and they think they pinpointed a lot of the issues, but he’s not out of the woods yet as far as getting back to a good degree of health.
“As always when we talk, his voice starts off a little bit weak and then it gets stronger as he talks and we laugh and we tell stories with each other.”
While Lawler has had to cancel several appearances due to his health, the King remains committed to appearing at Charlotte, North Carolina’s ‘The Gathering’ convention this August.
We here at eWN would like to keep sending our best to Jerry throughout his recovery.
