Mick Foley: ‘I Wish I Was In TNA Wrestling For Longer’

Mick Foley has had a lengthy and successful career in professional wrestling, but the Hardcore Legend regrets not spending longer with TNA Wrestling.

The WWE Hall of Famer signed with TNA (now Impact Wrestling) in 2008 and would become TNA World Heavyweight Champion in April 2009.

Speaking about his TNA tenure which ended in 2011, Foley told listeners of his “Foley is Pod” podcast that staying would have allowed him to face Hulk Hogan. He said,

“I just wish I’d stuck around TNA three months longer. There are two types of people in this world, people who admit it’s a big deal to be in the ring with Hogan and the type who pretend it isn’t, and it was a big deal.

“I got to cut I think two promos, and it’s pretty awe-inspiring to be standing face to face with him, and I think if I’d stayed, we could’ve had a good [match.]”

After leaving TNA Wrestling, Foley would return to WWE and competed in the 2012 Royal Rumble match, which would be won by Sheamus.
