Freddie Prinze Jr. Talks ‘Hard Times’ Similarities With Cody Rhodes

Freddie Prinze Jr. believes WWE is making some similarities between Dusty Rhodes “Hard Times” promo and Cody Rhodes.

Speaking on his “Wrestling With Freddie Podcast,” the former WWE creative team writer stated that he thinks Triple H is mirroring Cody’s current skills with his father’s famous storyline. He said,

“‘You know how Triple H is a historian of wrestling?’ He said, ‘What if they’re re-doing the Dusty Rhodes ‘Hard Times’ story, but with Cody this time around.’”

Prinze continued, “Dusty was chasing Ric’s championship … and he couldn’t climb the mountain, because people kept killing him along the way.”

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar will take place at WWE Backlash on May 6, 2023.
