Sammy Guevara defeated Darby Allin in the finals of the Pillars Tournament on AEW Dynamite, however, the World Championship match at Double or Nothing 2023 may not be final yet.
Guevara scored the victory via disqualification on Wednesday night’s show after MJF threw a skateboard into Allin’s hand and the referee noticed it, thinking that Allin used the object on The Spanish God.
Shortly after the match, Tony Schiavone announced that AEW President Tony Khan has booked Allin and Jack Perry to face Guevara and MJF in tag team action on next week’s episode of Dynamite.
If Allin and Perry win, the title match at Double or Nothing will turn into a Pillars Four-Way match for the gold.
However, if MJF and Guevara win, Guevara will get the AEW World Title shot in a singles match.
