BREAKING REPORT – CM Punk Backstage At RAW, Was Asked To Leave

CM Punk was briefly backstage at tonight’s WWE RAW TV tapings in Chicago, IL.

According to a report from Pwinsider, Punk decided to visit the show due to the TV tapings taking place in his hometown.

As of this writing, there is no word on who CM Punk was specifically visiting. Multiple sources say Punk did briefly meet up with Triple H. The two men haven’t seen each other since Punk left WWE in 2014.

The report further states that Punk met with several WWE talents prior to being asked to leave the venue. One source said they were under the impression that the reason he was asked to leave is because he’s under contract to AEW. The source also said it was Vince McMahon’s call to have Punk leave the venue. For what it’s worth, Vince isn’t backstage at the show but has been calling in edits throughout the course of the day.

Finally, it was added that after he was asked to leave, Punk immediately said his goodbyes to people and left the building without any issues.
