Kurt Angle was ready to become a card-carrying member of The Avengers had Marvel been ready to offer him a role.
In 2008, the comic book giant would launch its Marvel Cinematic Universe which has seen dozens of films all shared in the same universe.
Speaking on his “Kurt Angle Show” podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer recalled trying to find a role in the MCU. He said,
“I did get a — who’s the Executive Producer for the Marvel movies? Oh gosh. Why can’t I — Yeah, Kevin Feige. I ended up getting his contact information and I reached out to him and told him I’d be interested in doing a Marvel movie and he actually responded to me but nothing ever came of it.”
While Angle didn’t share the screen with the likes of Iron Man or Thor, he has some movie credits to his name, including 2013’s Pro Wrestles vs. Zombies.
Ironically, Angle’s first feature film role would be in 2009’s End Game, not to be confused with the Marvel blockbuster ‘Avengers: Endgame.’
Last December, it was reported that Becky Lynch made it into a Marvel film before her scene was nixed for being too depressing.
