Could the WWE-UFC merger as part of the Endeavor deal result in Brock Lesnar stepping back into the Octagon?
After debuting in the UFC in 2007, Brock Lesnar quickly established himself as one of the company’s top stars before leaving in 2011.
During a recent interview with PWMania, Booker T was asked if Lesnar could make a UFC return after the Endeavor deal goes through. He said,
“I mean, you know, if it was five years ago, I would say yeah, I wouldn’t put anything past Brock because he’s a beast, he’s a freak of nature. Can he go back and make a run in the heavyweight division? In the UFC? Of course he could.
“The thing is gonna be does Brock have to want to put his body through that one more time because that is not something that’s easily done. Brock Lesnar had that killer instinct, that killer mentality when he did make his runs in the UFC. I think that’s what it’s gonna come down to if Brock wants to do it.”
Lesnar made a one-off return at UFC 200 in 2016 but his win was nullified following a positive drugs test result.
After the WWE-Endeavor deal was announced, UFC President Dana White said that he does not expect any crossover with WWE’s on-screen product.
