WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is ready to embrace his inner heel once again as the potential on-screen partner of Chad Gable.
While Angle spent much of his WWE career as a heel, the Olympian has been portrayed as a babyface since his return in 2017.
During the latest edition of “The Kurt Angle Show,” the Hall of Famer expressed his hopes to one day work with his fellow Olympian. He said,
“I would love to be a heel with Chad Gable. He’s so entertaining. The two of us together would be unstoppable.”
Kurt added that while a heel run would be fun, it would be difficult for him considering that fans tend to support legends who return. He said,
“When you get older, people start having sympathy for you and they wanna cheer you on, they want you to win and it’s really hard to turn heel later on in your career.
“Like Undertaker, look at him. He has so much respect. He’s been in the company for 30 years and all his accomplishments. You know how hard it would be for Undertaker to be a heel right now? It’s almost impossible and I think I’m comparable to that.”
During his 2019 retirement tour, Angle defeated Gable on the March 18, episode of RAW.
