The Overnight Ratings & Viewership For WWE SmackDown After WrestleMania 39

SpoilerTV has released the overnight preliminary numbers for the latest episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX.

The April 8th edition of SmackDown saw WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H announce the return of the WWE Draft.

Friday night’s show averaged 2.291 million viewers, based on 2.183 million viewers for the first hour and 2.399 million viewers for the second hour. The numbers were down from last week’s go-home show for WrestleMania 39. The March 31st episode averaged 2.364 million for the preliminary overnight audience and the final audience was 2.484 million viewers.

SmackDown averaged a 0.61 rating in the P18-49 key rating demo, based on a 0.58 rating for the first hour and a 0.64 rating for the second hour. The overnight rating for last week was 0.64, and the final key demo rating was 0.69. The March 31st show recorded the highest rating for SmackDown in over two years.

WWE SmackDown managed to top the key demo ratings for primetime network programming on Friday night. Blue Bloods on CBS topped the viewership figures for the night with 5.911 million viewers.
