Wrestling veteran Raven has called for more young people in booking positions, and believes that the usual bookers we see today aren’t “current.”
Last month, Ronda Rousey hit out at WWE’s creative team, claiming that “octogenarians who still think they know how to be hip” botched her 2022 feud with Liv Morgan.
Appearing on “Under the Ring,” Raven shared his belief that wrestling needs more young bookers. He said,
“You have to stay current. That’s always been a problem with the wrestling business is bookers aren’t current. They don’t have any youth [on] the booking committee, so to speak, who knows what pop culture is, and what’s trendy and what isn’t.”
WWE’s Head of Creative Triple H is 53, though this week’s RAW saw multiple changes implemented by Vince McMahon, 77.
Impact Wrestling’s Scott D’Amore is 48 while AEW/ROH President Tony Khan is the ‘baby‘ of this group at 40 years old.
