This was a BANGER, no doubt about it. A great showing for Sheamus, as he pinned Giovanni Vinci following the Brogue Kick to pick up the win.

We see a video package recapping what happened between Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman on Raw, followed by Kayla Braxton standing by with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa backstage. She asks The Wiseman to shed some light on Lesnar’s actions, but Heyman instead wants to talk about Roman Reigns.

As he hypes up The Tribal Chief approaching 1000 days as the Universal Champion, in walks Jey Uso. Jey asks Heyman if he has seen Jimmy, but Paul E. informs him that Jimmy is home tonight. Jey is visibly frustrated and disappointed, before Paul E. demands that “Main Event” Jey Uso solve the “Sami Zayn problem” tonight.

After Jey leaves, Paul E. asks Solo to “take care of all our problems” tonight if Jey can’t do his job.

#2. Ricochet vs Ivar – Winner: Ricochet

This was essentially a showcase match for Ricochet, and it was perfectly fine for what it was. Ricochet got the three-count following a Shooting Star Press.

************

Backstage, Sami Zayn is hesitant about taking on Jey Uso in tonight’s main event. Sami has a “weird feeling.” Kevin Owens reminds him that they kickstarted The Bloodline’s fall at WrestleMania by winning the Undisputed Tag Team Championships, and that this is Sami’s opportunity to finally put The Bloodline stuff behind him. Sami agrees that KO is right but wants to talk to Jey anyway. KO asks him if Jey would even be receptive to what Sami might have to say, and while Sami understands KO’s concerns, still wants to talk to Jey.

#3. Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan vs Natalya & Shotzi – Winners: Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan picked up some much-needed momentum here ahead of challenging Becky Lynch and Lita for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships next week on Raw. Liv Morgan got the pinfall on Shotzi following the ObLIVion.

Backstage, Madcap Moss, Emma and Xavier Woods can be seen playing 2K23, before they are interrupted by LA Knight, YEEAAHHHH!! LA Knight criticizes them for playing video games while SmackDown is on. He also rants on about how he was not on WrestleMania.

Woods and LA Knight get into an argument, before Knight snatches one of the controllers and breaks it. Moss holds back Woods as Knight walks away.

************

Behold the King. The King of Kings. On your knees DOG! Out comes Triple H, to a thunderous reception. Triple H goes on about the success of WrestleMania 39, and how it shattered all records.

Triple H then proceeds to announce the WWE Draft, saying this year’s draft, due to commence in a few short weeks will truly “change the Game.”

Speaking of changing the Game, Triple H introduces the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley, who makes her way to the ring flanked by the Judgement Day.

************

Ripley brags on about how she destroyed and dethroned Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. She then demands the WWE Universe to “rise to Mami.”

Finn Balor then proceeds to take some shots at Edge, saying that he is still standing on SmackDown despite suffering a hellacious injury in their Hell in a Cell match, while Edge is nowhere to be seen.

Next, Dominik Mysterio gets on the mic, and the crowd is not having it. They are raining down boos on Dom, who is barely audible. That’s nuclear heat. He says he held back at WrestleMania against his dad, because he loves his father and did not want to hurt him. Rey, however, does not love him ack and took advantage. He disrespects his family again, muttering some shit in Spanish, that I interpret to be gibberish anyway, before telling them to go to hell. He handled the crowd well here.

Damian Priest takes over, hoping Bad Bunny can forgive him for the assault he inflicted upon him at WrestleMania, because Priest has already forgiven Bunny for making him do it in the first place.

They are finally interrupted by LWO. Next up, Damian Priest and Dominik face Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar.

#4. Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio vs Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar – Winners: Judgement Day

Repeated distractions at ringside allowed Dom and Priest to pick up the win here.

Backstage, Sami Zayn approaches Jey Uso and tries to talk some sense into him ahead of their match. He then says that there is a way out for Jey from this, that The Bloodline is crumbling, and that he is even willing to beat some sense into Jey if that’s what it takes.

Suddenly, there is some noise nearby, and Sami runs over to find Solo Sikoa attacking Kevin Owens, with KO partially buried under a crate. Officials are holding back SOlo and Sami checks up on KO.

Jey Uso is out next on SmackDown as we head to the commercial break. Back from the break, out Sami provides an update on KO, who won’t be able to accompany him out tonight. Sami adds that Kevin was right, The Bloodline is getting more dangerous than ever, but Sami is ready for Jey. He makes his way to the ring for the main event…

#5. Sami Zayn vs Jey Uso – Winner: Jey Uso

Solo Sikoa caught Sami Zayn with the Samoan Spike at ringside, allowing Jey Uso to capitalize with some more offence for the win.

Solo continues to assault Sami and goes for another Samoan Spike, but Jey holds him back. Jey superkicks Sami himself! He calls for Solo to get steel chairs. BRROOOOOO!WAIT A MINUTE!! Here’s Matt Riddle! Remember Solo put him on the shelf?

Matt Riddle takes out Solo and Jey. They retreat. Matt Riddle and Sami Zayn stand tall as SmackDown goes off the air…
