At WrestleMania 39 (Night One), Dominik Mysterio faced off against his father, Rey Mysterio, in a losing effort. Dominik’s entrance featured a promo video showcasing the young star being transferred from a prison cell to a transportation van. Interestingly, one of the shots of the “prison” was actually an Auschwitz concentration camp, utilized to persecute minorities by Nazi Germany in the Holocaust.
The Auschwitz Memorial Museum called WWE “shameless” for utilizing the imagery. As of this moment, the footage has been replaced in the replay with generic prison imagery rather than that of a concentration camp.

The fact that Auschwitz image was used to promote a WWE match is hard to call “an editing mistake”. Exploiting the site that became a symbol of enormous human tragedy is shameless and insults the memory of all victims of Auschwitz.https://t.co/b4bbYgWPwj https://t.co/Xud4rbhEUS pic.twitter.com/tuJrzmK6mQ
