WrestleMania 39 will take place as a two-night event on April 1 and 2, 2023, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Fightful Select is reporting that sources in WWE indicated that Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair have not been informed about main eventing the inaugural night of WrestleMania 39. Rather, those involved in the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match between The Usos, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been notified about potentially headlining the show.

One WWE source suggested that the situation has been like this for a couple of weeks, and several people in the company are of the opinion that the tag team match will headline the first night of WrestleMania 39.

While there’s been some consideration of Flair vs. Ripley main eventing since women didn’t main event WrestleMania 38, almost everyone backstage is of the notion that the Undisputed Tag Team Championship match should and in fact would be the main event. The main event will reportedly be finalized at Saturday morning’s production meeting.

It is to be noted that the tag team titles have never headlined WrestleMania and that a man of Syrian descent has never been in the main event either.
