Chris Jericho Describes Why His Baseball Bat Is Called Floyd

Talking to NHL.com, Chris Jericho discussed that the name of his baseball bat, Floyd, originated from previous St. Louis Blue Floyd Thomson.

Thomson fell on ice while playing a video game versus the New York Islanders and swallowed his tongue, a story Jericho believed was intriguing.

” True story,” Jericho stated. “How do you swallow your own tongue?! But he did it, and to this day in AEW, the bat I bring is called Floyd. I was trying to find a name (similiar to) Lucille– Negan’s bat on The Walking Dead– and for some factor Floyd Thomson appeared my head. The name on my bat in AEW comes from Floyd Thomson, previous St. Louis Blue, who swallowed his own tongue.”

Jericho just recently utilized Floyd by striking Brody King with the bat, which triggered Daniel Garcia to win the match on the March 17 episode of AEW Rampage.
