On a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is protecting Solo Sikoa for a future showdown with his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.
Meltzer noted that Solo Sikoa would be one of Roman’s primary feuds after he eventually loses the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He noted,
“With Solo, they ended in double countout [Sami Zayn vs. Solo Sikoa on Smackdown last week], because they’re not gonna beat Solo. They’re saving Solo for Roman, whenever that day comes.”
Speaking about Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa ahead of last night’s RAW, Meltzer said,
”I don’t think they’ll beat Solo. I think they’ll probably do a no-contest or Kevin might lose due to interference and then Sami saves Kevin.”
While Sikoa remained undefeated on the main roster until the concerned edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, he lost to Kevin Owens via disqualification on RAW last night.
Nevertheless, he still remains unpinned/unsubmitted on the main roster, and there may be some element of truth to the claims.
