WWE’s broadcast partner in the UK and Ireland, BT Sport, is getting a rebrand. Per BroadcastNow, BT Sports will be renamed TNT Sports starting in July.
BT Sport became the broadcast home for WWE in the UK and Ireland in 2019. BT Sport is also owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, so the rebrand is meant to align BT Sport with the brand that WBD had been using for the United States and Latin America.
Before July 2023, BT Sport customers will still be able to access the content the same way they do now. Later in July, Discover+ will become the new streaming destination for TNT Sports. Linear channels will stay in the same places with the new brand.
The move is part of the previously announced joint venture between Warner Bros. Discovery and BT Sport to unify the BT Sport and Eurosport offerings. Eurosport will continue with its current branding in the UK and Ireland until after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The branding is reportedly not expected to change outside the UK.
