Ring of Honor veteran Matt Taven remembered the departure of Roderick Strong, and what a hole it left in the ROH locker space. Taven was a visitor of The Undisputed Podcast When he remembered what ROH was like in the 2010s, with Bobby Fish. Fish belonged of Ring of Honor throughout that time too, teaming with Kyle O’Reilly in reDragon.
You can check out highlights of Taven’s remarks listed below:
ROH from 2013 to 2016: “That ROH from 2013 to 2015, even 2016, was untouchable. The tag department alone with Briscoes, Young Bucks, reDRagon, The Kingdom, Caprice Coleman and Cedric [Alexander] were an incredible group. It’s simply up and down the lineup, it was so– however that’s what made it so great. You needed to contend so difficult to stick out on those programs.”
Roderick Strong leaving a hole when he left: “I believe every locker space requires a Roderick Strong. I believe when you men all left, there was a huge hole in the locker space even if everybody was so close. Roddy having the ability to lead that locker space was absolutely missed out on.”
