NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez took part in this year’s Royal Rumble, and she discussed the experience just recently to Busted Open Radio. Seeming like she belonged: “I went out and I didn’t weep at all, which I took pride in myself. When I won the champion, it resembled, ‘‘ Wow, I can’t think this is genuine.’ When I went out at the Royal Rumble it was more of, ‘‘ Wow, I belong here. I’ve worked so hard for this. I’m here and I did it and I belong here.’Yeah, I believe it’s altered a bit from– undoubtedly, I’m still a fan at heart and I’m constantly gon na be, however it’s altered from getting signed and resembling, ‘‘ Wow, I ca ‘n’t think it,’ to ‘ Wow, I can think it. ‘I do not deserve it, however I strove for it.”
