On a current episode of the Comedy Store Wrestling podcast, Big Bill (fka W. Morrissey/Big Cass) discussed a range of topics, including his current name modification, entering standup funny, dealing with Wardlow in his AEW launching, and more.
You can take a look at some highlights from the podcast listed below:
On how ‘‘ Big Bill’ appears to have actually captured on:” Big Bill was a name that Tony [Khan] created and he developed the name and man, like I stated previously, I’m there to be on the group. No matter what he stated. ‘Big Bill’, that’s my f * cking name … Thank you Tony. The important things was, once again, I needed to rely on the person who understands what he’s doing because in the beginning, anytime somebody states a name for the very first time, you’re like, ‘I do not understand.’ Now strolling around backstage and then strolling outside the arena and things, individuals, ‘Big Bill, Big Bill, Big Bill.’ It’s captured on so I dig it.”
On pursuing standup funny in the future: “I believe so, yeah (I’m gon na attempt more stand-up funny). For sure. I imply, I didn’t (understand it would) go that well the other night … and it’s enjoyable as sh * t male which sensation, that’s a genuine excellent sensation when you come off phase, that adrenaline rush. It was incredible so I’m absolutely gon na pursue it. I’ve currently been taking more notes and things.”
On cutting promotions in AEW moving forward: “I’m open to in either case (doing my own discounts or my mouth piece doing it for me). I’m really positive in my promotion capabilities, I understand I’m excellent at them. I do not understand who understands or who does not understand or who believes I am. I am extremely positive. I understand I’m yeah however very excellent, it takes some pressure off, specifically having Stokely [Hathaway] do bulk of the talking if not all of it. I do not believe I’ve even said a word on AEW tv yet so, it’s been great to have Stokely do that for me while I sort of get accustomed so, yeah … But if it ever takes place, I’m very positive in my capabilities. Really all set.”
On his AEW launching versus Wardlow: “Yeah, it felt truly, truly great (making my AEW launching). I had not been on television– well, nationwide tv in lots of, several years. I worked truly tough to return to where I’ve originated from and to return now from where I’ve originated from. Due to the fact that Tony [put in a lot of tough work and that was an actually unique night for me Khan] offered me the chance to come in and I believe I did truly well, we had a truly, truly great match which was an extremely unique night for me due to the fact that it was the conclusion of a great deal of effort. It was truly amazing to see AEW for the very first time from the backstage viewpoint and it was type of a psychological night for me and Lexy [Nair] for sure because simply after whatever we had actually gone through and whatever leading up to that minute so, that chance was truly, truly unique, something I’ll always remember.”
