Speaking on a current episode of his “Strictly Business” podcast, previous WCW President Eric Bischoff discussed Cody Rhodes going back to WWE and how it might have happened vis-à-vis Vince McMahon.
Bischoff weighed in on how he believed Vince McMahon felt when Cody returned, mentioning that McMahon desired Cody to show him incorrect.

Eric Bischoff on if Vince McMahon swallowed his pride by reviving Cody Rhodes: “I do not believe Vince [McMahon] swallowed his pride at all. I do not believe that’s the method Vince is actually constructed. I believe my impression– or among them since he’s an intricate feline– of Vince is that he’s hoping someone like Cody Rhodes occurs and shows him incorrect. I believe that’s why they wanted to pay Cody what they paid him to come back. Cody left there in one monetary classification and returned in a totally various one, and I believe the factor is Cody showed he was right.”
Eric Bischoff on what kind of individual Vince McMahon is: “I believe Vince McMahon is the kind of individual who will adhere to his weapons, do things his method, till someone reveals him a much better method to do it, and when that occurs he accepts it as if it was his own. His ego is not bruised at all.”
