Report: AEW Dynamite To Begin Airing Live On The West Coast

The days of AEW Dynamite airing live on the east coast and on tape delay on the west coast appear to be over according to a new report by The Wrestling Observer.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that starting on Wednesday, October 27, AEW will begin airing Dynamite live both on the East and West coast at the same time. West Coast viewers will now be watching Dynamite starting at 5pm local time instead of 8pm on a 3 hour delay.

It’s unclear at this point how it will affect ratings. WWE did a short period of airing RAW live on the East and West coast this summer during the Olympic games, so gathering informative data on how it alters the ratings is nearly impossible at this point.

AEW has still yet to run many shows on the west coast since their inception a few years ago. They were making their initial trip out west early last year when the COVID-19 pandemic started, but have not returned yet.
