WWE held a live event Supershow in Charlotte, North Carolina last night in which Charlotte Flair was advertised for an appearance. She did not end up appearing and Nikki A.S.H. defended her title in a singles match against Rhea Ripley instead of the typical triple threat fans have been seeing in recent weeks.

Charlotte Flair’s whereabouts were confirmed via Twitter, and she was in Mexico with Andrade & Ric Flair as most people suspected. Konnan posted a photo on Twitter which you can see below confirming the report.

Andrade El Idolo took to Twitter himself after the loss to thank Ric Flair for being by his side. He said “Thank you Mr. Ric Flair for accepting to be in my corner. Not in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined I would have the honor of putting the figure-four on by your side…on top of that — in MEXICO.” He followed up again later by promising to take care of his daughter Charlotte and also saying, “it was a honor to have you not only in my corner but in my home country. I am very grateful. I owe you!!”

On the latest episode of Dave Meltzer’s The Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave reported that the original plan for the match was for Andrade to win the title from Kenny Omega. However, AEW officials reportedly reached out to AAA and asked them to put Omega over and wait until a later date for him to drop the title. Omega had just been coming off a loss in which he dropped the IMPACT World Championship to Christian Cage.
