WWE has reportedly released the trademark on Chelsea Green‘s name, so the former NXT star should be able to use her birth name without any issues.

Fightful Select reported the news and stated that WWE contacted Green on Sunday to inform her about the decision regarding the trademark. Per Fightful, Green personally confirmed the news, and she will discuss the topic on the upcoming episode of her “Green With Envy:” podcast.

Green allowed WWE to file a trademark on her name after she signed a contract last November; at the time, she had just called up to the main roster. But an injury derailed these plans, and WWE released Green on April 15. The company had seemingly been trying to keep the trademark, but it is now letting it go, so Green can use it.

Since her 90-day no-compete clause expired a little early, Green has debuted for both Ring of Honor and returned to IMPACT Wrestling.
