The sexual harassment lawsuit against Tyrus has been resolved out of court after both sides reached a settlement on Monday.

Tyrus (George Murdoch) and FOX News Media were being sued by former anchor Britt McHenry, who accused the professional wrestler-turned-political analyst of sexual harassment and filed a lawsuit in 2019. McHenry alleged Tyrus sent her photos of his genitals and made other inappropriate comments via text message.

Deadline reports both parties filed a stipulation for voluntary dismissal of the case on Monday in federal court, and the allegations against Murdoch have been dismissed with prejudice. Following the dismissal, McHenry issued the following statement:

McHenry: “I am very proud to have to stood up for my rights and hope that I have empowered other women to do the same. Although I fully stand by the truth of my allegations, I am pleased to put this matter behind me and move forward with my career.”

Fox News Media and Tyrus’ attorney, Tom Clare, issued respective statements on the ruling.

FOX News: “While Fox News is confident it would have prevailed in the lawsuit, we are pleased that we have been able to resolve this matter without further litigation.”

Clare: “Tyrus is pleased that the parties have reached a settlement in which the claims against him will be dismissed with prejudice. Tyrus continues to dispute and deny the allegations made against him in the lawsuit and, consistent with that view, will not be making any financial payments.”

Tyrus is currently a part of the National Wrestling Alliance roster, with his last match being a two-on-one handicap match win over BLK Jeez & Jordan Clearwater on the June 22 episode of Powerrr.
