Cody Calls Hell In A Cell’s AEW Chants ‘Flattering,’ Plans For Dynamite In Sacramento
Speaking on the Joe Cronin Show, Cody spoke about the fans chanting for AEW following the bizarre finish to WWE’s Hell in a Cell main event. “When those come up, your phone starts blowing up. Whenever the crowd chants something, it means they want to be rewarded. That’s wrestling 101, and we know we want to reward them. It was flattering.”
He goes on to say that he doesn’t want to “gloat” about the situation because “one of the guys in that match got concussed.” Rumor injuries have swirled around Bray Wyatt since the main event, although he did work a dark segment this past Monday on RAW. Seth Rollins did not participate in the episode.
As for AEW hitting up the home of Hell in a Cell, it’s seemingly already in the works. “If you’ve seen the announcements, we’re moving our way across the country. That’s how these trucks work. It’s all new to me.” He states that AEW is going down I-40, so we can expect the company to be there in the coming months.
