Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Returning On SmackDown; Participants Announced
The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is back, but in a different way. It was revealed today by Adam Pearce on Twitter that the recent WrestleMania tradition will return after taking a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this time it will not be on the main WrestleMania card. Instead, it will take place on the go-home show of Friday Night SmackDown on April 9, which is labeled as a “WrestleMania Special” edition episode. The participants are as follows:

Also announced for the show is a fatal four way bout for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles and appearance by Daniel Bryan, Edge and Roman Reigns. The last person to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 35, eliminating the ever-fierce and ever-intimidating competitor in Colin Jost.

As first announced on Twitter Spaces, the final stop on The Road to WrestleMania will feature a Special WrestleMania Edition of SmackDown next Friday on FOX!

Next Friday, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode will look to defend their titles in a Fatal 4-Way against The Street Profits, Rey & Dominik Mysterio and Otis & Chad Gable.
