John Silver‘s bad news does come with some good news.
Silver posted an update on his injured shoulder on Friday, revealing he will miss “about 4-6 weeks” time to recover. While that was the bad news he delivered, the good news is that he won’t need surgery and there’s no major damage to his arm.
Silver was injured on Wednesday night in the AEW Dynamite main event against Darby Allin. During the match, Silver was sent over the guardrail and landed hard on the ground, likely when the injury took place. After the match, Allin cut a promo for the live crowd, claiming that he was pretty sure Silver dislocated his shoulder halfway through the match. Allin went on to praise Silver, who can be seen in the video below favoring his arm, for still putting everything into the match.

On Wednesday, Silver posted an initial response and said they didn’t believe the shoulder injury was too serious, adding that he had a nice knot on his head from landing on the concrete.
