WWE NXT threw a lot of gasoline on the fire of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver with a hellacious show-closing promo by Kyle O’Reilly directed at his former friend Adam Cole. WWE NXT UK Champion Walter decimated the beloved Drake Maverick and his upcoming TakeOver opponent Tomasso Ciampa. NXT Champion Finn Balor declared tha Karrion Kross “emotional” ahead of their title clash. Shawn Michaels made a surprise appearance adding a ladder to the NXT Cruiserweight Unification match set for TakeOver with Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin.
AEW Dynamite saw AEW World Champion Kenny Omega win a non-title bout, fail to secure the loyalty of the Young Bucks, and he got attacked by the Lucha Brothers. Cody and Brandi Rhodes announced they will be featured in a new reality series on TNT. John Silver had the match of his life, but TNT Champion Darby Allin was simply too much for the Dark Order stand-out in a memorable main event.
