Former Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal is staying with the company.
Ring of Honor announced the news on its official website. Lethal is the latest in a sizable group of wrestlers that the company has re-signed this year. Other names include Lethal’s tag team partner Jonathan Gresham and The Bouncers.
Lethal debuted with Ring of Honor in 2003, and he’s often viewed as the face of the franchise. He is the third Grand Slam Champion in Ring of Honor history, as he has held all of the men’s titles in the company. Currently, he’s one-half of the reigning ROH World Tag Team Champions alongside Gresham. These two stars are members of The Foundation, a new stable that has been prominently featured on Ring of Honor programming.
Tracy Williams is also a member of the group. He recently spoke with WrestleZone writer Colin Tessier, and in one highlight of the interview, “Hot Sauce” explained The Foundation’s goals.
