Excited Fan Meets ‘Joey Janela’, Hopes He Continues To Kill It On AEW Dynamite

It’s an honest mistake that anyone could make!

Joey Janela shared the following message from a fan who met him this week—or at least the fan thought he did.

Janela posted the hilarious exchange between himself and a fan who thought they’d met at a Jacksonville hotel, but the “Bad Boy” had no idea what he was talking about. Clued-in once the man sent the photo “they” took together, it all amounted to a classic case of mistaken identity as the fan actually met Brian Pillman Jr, not Joey Janela.

This week’s AEW Dynamite saw Snoop Dogg fly off the top rope on TNT and Kenny Omega defending the AEW World title against Rey Fenix. In a shocking ending, IMPACT Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows prevented a vengeful Jon Moxley from attacking Omega, which turned into a surprising reunion with Omega, Anderson, Gallows, and AEW World Tag Team Champions the Young Bucks.

NXT Champion Finn Balor took on Kyle O’Reilly in an anticipated rematch on a special ‘New Year’s Evil’ in a truly brutal match. Rhea Ripley got smashed through the stage by the rising powerhouse Raquel Gonzalez in a memorable Last Woman Standing match. NXT also announced teams for the upcoming Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament and revealed for the first time, there will be a women’s Dusty Cup this year as well.
